Patricia Totton – Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Totton has been in a leadership role with TeleServices Direct since the company’s inception in 1989. She has more than 25 years of marketing and upper management experience and has developed a seasoned team of experts in both telemarketing and database management. Ms. Totton’s role in all marketing programs is as the top decision maker, and she oversees all other management and administrative staff. Under Ms. Totton’s direction, the company has grown over the past 17 years from one center with 65 stations to multiple centers with 700 workstations and more than 1,000 employees.  During her tenure, Ms. Totton developed the company's industry standing to include recognition as one of the nation's “Top 50” call center operations since 2002.

 

Dave Smith – Chief Operating Officer

Dave Smith has over 20 years of management experience in the telemarketing industry. He has served as the Director of IT, Telemarketing Operations, and Executive Vice President of Telemarketing Operations and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer. As head of Operations, Mr. Smith is responsible for all aspects of the company's inbound and outbound telemarketing programs, including system capabilities and maintenance, scripting, programming, reporting, and quality assurance. Mr. Smith and his team emphasize the importance of understanding and implementing strategies that meet the specific needs of each client.  Under Mr. Smith direction, TeleServices Direct has received “approved vendor status” from several of the most stringent client review audits in the industry.

 

Scott Kimmerly, CPA, CIA – Chief Financial Officer

Scott Kimmerly moved to Indiana upon graduation and worked in public accounting for six years with Coopers & Lybrand in Indianapolis, IN. He left Coopers & Lybrand to become the controller for an automobile parts manufacturer in central Indiana. Mr. Kimmerly maintained that position for five years before starting a consulting business. After working as a consultant for two years, he was hired as a controller for an Indianapolis chemical company. Mr. Kimmerly stayed in that position for seven years before joining the team at TeleServices Direct in early 2003. He received a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Florida in 1983.

 

Michael McCaughan – Chief Information Officer

Mike McCaughan is responsible for directing all aspects of Information Systems including strategic planning, infrastructure, data processing, security and supervision of all domestic and off-shore IT operations.  Mr. McCaughan joined TeleServices Direct with more than 20 years of extensive IT experience focused in the call center industry. Previous positions include roles as Director of Information Technology managing all IT needs for 5 subsidiaries of a national marketing firm, Software Engineer for a leading telecommunications company and Production Services Engineer for a large on-line travel marketing services company.

 

Steve Lair – Chief Administrative Officer

Steve Lair oversees Human Resources, including payroll and benefits administration.He is also responsible for administrative projects involving opening new locations and facilities management projects in existing locations. Prior to joining TeleServices Direct; he served as Vice President of a service company with inbound and outbound call center, contract accounting services and wholesale product distribution of prescription drugs, OTC medications and various other food and non-food products. He was responsible for Human Resources, Quality Control, FDA Compliance and Facilities Management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lair served as a Director in a division of Federated Dept. Stores responsible for management of special orders and business operations within the home division. Prior to his home division position, he was Mgr. of Corporate Credit/Customer Service, including the corporate call center, billing, payment processing and complaint resolution. He also served as Director of Optimum Planning and Scheduling for the corporate finance division.  Mr. Lair is a graduate of The Indiana University School of Business, with a BS in Business Administration and Human Resources Management. He also holds an SPHR Certification, as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
